Welcome to My Blog!

Welcome! My name is Amanda Donovan and I am currently a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I started my career at UWM as a nursing undergraduate, and quickly switched to education when I decided that teaching was what I truly wanted to do. I am working towards getting my teaching certification through UWM’s MACSTEP Mathematics program. My goal is to become a high school mathematics teacher and be employed at a Milwaukee Public School. Some experience I have includes being a co-op math teacher at the Milwaukee School of the Arts, and volunteering at SEA Literacy where the photo below was taken. In the future I plan on returning to school to get my Masters degree in Mathematics Education. One thing I am excited for is to show my students that math IS for everyone. Some of my hobbies are snowboarding, hiking, biking, and anything to do with water or swimming!
